WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL !!!
Another year has come and gone and we are ready to start the 2009-2010 school year. I have lots of fun things planned for the year and much learning to do. Please review the classroom newsletter with your child. I have also included playground rules which will need to be reviewed often.
Dress code is on page 15 & 16 in the school handbook. Please look over carefully as some rules have changed. Dress code will be enforced and if rules are not follow a note will be sent home accordingly. BE SURE TO PUT NAME ON ALL CLOTHING JUST IN CASE IT IS MISPLACED.
All volunteers must be fingerprinted and go through a Safe Environment meeting. Fingerprinting must be done once and Safe Enviornment trainings need to be completed every year.
Meetings for the Safe Enviornment trainings will be on September 22 and October 13. If you are planning on working in the class or going on any of our field trips YOU MUST BE FINGERPRINTED AND HAVE WENT THROUGH THE TRAINING. NO EXCEPTIONS!! (this is for the safety of your student)
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH YOUR CHILD. THIS WILL BE A GREAT BUILDING YEAR AND YOU WILL SEE AN ABUNDANCE OF GROWTH IN YOUR CHILD.
Please check the BLOG often as there may be new postings.

Tomorrow we will have mass at 8:15. Dismissal will be at 12:30. If your student stays 1/2 day they may stay until 12:30. This helps with planning in the classroom.
For Science we are working on Plants and what a plant needs to grow. We learned about four plant parts and four things a plant needs to survive.
Next week we will be working on the short "E" vowel sound. Please continue to work on the alphabet and numbers. Our students should recognize the numbers 1-30. If they do not please work with them at home.
Tuesday we will be having our Lenten reflection after morning prayer. If your child is reading please continue to work with them.
Next week we will be performing for the Spring Program. The Program will be on Wednesday, March 10th at 7:00 pm here at OLM school.
Thank you for your help and support.

Dear Parents,
Thank you for all of your participation this week. I am sure the children had a great Halloween. Next week should be a normal week with no interuptions :-). We will be working on the word "did" and the letter T. If your first name begins with A-M bring something Tuesday to share the letter T. If you name begins with N-Z bring something that starts with T on Wednesday. Thank you for all of your help.
