Dear
Parents,
It’s that time again!!! International Night
is back on the calendar. The Third grade
is responsible for the country of BRAZIL.
International Night will be held on Tuesday, February 10th in the school
Cafeteria at 6 pm. I would like you to
work with your child in gathering information about BRAZIL. When you have collected the information you
need, you and your child will put it
together and return it to school. Here
are several guidelines and suggestions.
·
Items
should be posted on the paper provided.
·
There
needs to be nine to ten sentences about the topic. If your child chooses to do more that is
acceptable. I would encourage your child
to put the sentences into their own words. They need to write in their best
handwriting. (This is not to be written in cursive).
·
Your
child may choose to illustrate a part of their topic. Pictures from the Internet are acceptable and
encouraged.
If you have anything at home you may bring
it in on the day of International Night.
Your child will be receiving a Social Studies/Effort grade on this
project. I would like this project
turned in by Friday, February 6th.
If you would like to help we will need
volunteers to help with cooking the food and help on the afternoon of the 10th
to set up. Pleased let me know if you would like to help.
Thank you for your help and cooperation.
