April 27-May 1

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the Relay for Life!!! OLM raised over $11,000 for the fight for cancer.

This week we will continue to have a busy week.  With only 5 weeks left of school it is important to keep your calendars handy as the time will fly by.  I have reminded the students that it is still very important to keep academics in mind.  Continue to turn in work on time and check Option C regularly for missing work.

SOCIAL STUDIES PROJECTS ARE DUE ON THURSDAY OR YOU MAY TURN THEM IN SOONER.  BRING THE PROJECTS TO THE CLASSROOM.  LATE WORK WILL  NOT BE ACCEPTED. THANK YOU

Thursday, April 30 we will be going to Farm Safety Day at the Merced Fair Grounds.  I have sent home a letter along with a Shirt that must be worn on the day of the Field trip.  We will be leaving school promptly at 8 am and returning around 3 pm.  Please read the letter for any further details.

English - we will continue to work on letter writing along with emotions.
Reading and Spelling - continue reading My Fathers Dragon.  The comprehension test will be on chapters 5 & 6 on Friday.  Spelling and Vocab test will also be on Friday.
Math - Measurement Ch. 7
Social Studies- Ch. 10 Fighting for Freedom
Science - Ch. 1 Extension chapter on Animals
Religion - Ch. 13 test on Wednesday- we have reviewed in class today

Grandparents Day will be held on Friday, May 1st.  We will be having the May Crowning prayer service at 8:15.  After the prayer service the students will go with their grandparents to take pictures.  Your child may only go with their grandparent not other students.  Breakfast will follow. After the breakfast grandparents may come to the classroom for a bit or leave.  It is 12:30 dismissal.  If your child is leaving with the grandparent early they must be checked out of the office and brring a yellow slip so I know they will be leaving early.

Thank you and God Bless

Gunnar is unsure of his topic for the project due Thursday and states that he didn't receive a handout with instructions. How can I find out what is required and assigned?
